Our engineers are considered industry specialists when it comes to delivering critical information to healthcare providers. We've continually asked nursing staff and physicians how we can help them provide better patient care through the use of technology. In 1996, we rolled out our first Citrix based patient information system that doctors could use to access a 500 bed hospitals clinical care system, look up lab results and place orders. Since then, we've provided access to an entire suite of applications to help internal and external staff effectively do their job. Most applications are so called off the shelf products, we just manage the delivery aspect. Instead of installing and configuring the application on hundreds of workstations, we set them up in Citrix and handle delivery through a simple to use web interface. Many of the applications have complex mainframe session configuration parameters, requiring LU and PU settings with an SNA gateway, etc. Through server based computing, we handle all that behind the scenes at a centralized location, greatly reducing Information Technology support costs. Computers in the nursing units get constant use and have a higher likelihood of breaking down. We greatly reduce downtime by making a universal client configuration that can be swapped out effortlessly.
